Location

The Museum is located only one mile from downtown Glace Bay on Birkley Street (off South Street).

Close to major attractions like Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Park, Marconi National Historic Site and the beautiful and historic Savoy Theatre, Miners' Museum offers visitors of all ages an authentic and fun-filled day of adventure.


Men of the Deeps
The Men of the Deeps is a choir of working and retired coal miners from the island of Cape Breton in Nova Scotia, Canada.

The Men of the Deeps perform at the Miners' Museum theater throughout the summer. The following is the performance schedule for summer 2010:

June 29th @ 8pm
July 6th, 13th, 20th @ 8pm
August 17th, 24 @ 8pm
August 31st - Show Cancelled
September 1st @ 8pm

In 1873, there were eight coal companies operating in Cape Breton. The miners were paid from 80 cents to $1.50 per day and boys were paid 65 cents.
