At The Cape Breton Miners Museum our volunteers are an important part of our organization. Their contribution helps us deliver the best possible experience to our visitors. Our volunteers have a variety of talents, skills, and knowledge and enjoy sharing them with our visitors, staff and other volunteers.

If you are looking for a rewarding and fun way to spend a couple of hours each week, while gaining new skills and experiences, than please explore our volunteer opportunities. We are presently looking for volunteers to act as Interpreters in our Company Store and Company House. Being an Interpreter is an enjoyable way meet people and help enlighten them on rich history of Cape Breton’s coal mining culture. Another volunteer opportunity, ideal for people who enjoy working outdoors, is Maintenance and Ground Assistants. These volunteers make sure that the Museum and its grounds are remembered by visitors as one of the most beautiful spots on Cape Breton Island.
